My entry for the #Warriors-Less-Loved Contest. I didn't want to do something cliche, like: -A border skirmish -A forbidden romance (<-Almost did that!) -Or just something generally uncreative that's already been done in the books. My entry isn't exactly 'an exciting and epic adventure', but I think it's a sort of sweet story that I'd like to see told. - Right here, we have Rainwhisker <3 (Pre-Mortum) and Sorreltail, this is just after Sorreltail's son, Molepaw, died (at what I'm assuming was a realtively young age, like just after becoming an apprentice.). Sorreltail was grieving, and mourning, and Brackenfur hadn't been able to pull her out of it. Her littermate, Rainwhisker, decided to take her out to look at the stars (Starclan), hoping it would bring her comfort.
'The two siblings sat on the glade at the edge of Thunderclan territory, gazing up at the stars. Sorreltail bowed her head, and let out a mournful whimper, "I miss him so much, Rainwhisker. Why would Starclan take him from me?" Sorreltail's question was obviously retorical. Rainwhisker's eyes shone sadly in the starlight, "Look up at the stars, Sorreltail." murmured the blue-grey tom, "Molepaw is there watching over you." The calico she-cat gazed up at the inky sky dully, her voice coming out in a whimper, "I- I don't see him." As if on cue, two stars streaked across the sky, one slightly large than the other. "There!" Rainwhisker burst out, rearing up, "Did you see that?! It was Molepaw! And Sootfur!" Sorreltail's eyes had already brightened, "I did! It was them! I can feel it in every hair on my pelt, I know it was them!" Rainwhisker purred loudly, but Sorreltail seemed to have fallen flat again. Her ears were pressed to her head, and her amber eyes were glazed with sadness, "Rainwhisker, do- Do you think he'll remember me?" Rainwhisker continued to purr, "He will, Sorreltail! Sootfur will tell him many wonderful stories, and keep him company 'til the next time you meet." Sadness still hung like a mist around her, but Sorreltail seemed to have brightened a little, and Rainwhisker could already see the start of a new light sparking in her pale eyes.'
- That's pretty well the short version. I hope you enjoyed it! (Sorry it was a little lame, I had a lot of different dialogue ideas and I couldn't quite fit it all in right. xD)
PS: >w< I hope that'll have an emotional impact on you! I showed my Mom this morning, and gave her a quick recap of what was going on (she's never read Warriors), and she totally started crying. D: PSS: I learned sooooo much drawing this, having no reffs really actually helped. xDD I'm especially proud of those clouds. Oh god. D: Those stars are all hand drawn too. My hands are going to fall off. xD

Thanks for viewing!
PS: Any constructive criticism or suggestions would be really appreciated.
Beautiful! Rainwhisker, Sootfur and Molepaw are forgotten cats, and that seems sad. I liked Sootfur and Rainwhisker, but they didn't show up much in the books. Now it feels like no one remembers them, and that makes me sad.
First of all I think your concept combined with your story is absolutely AWESOME! Your color scheme, in my estimation is perfection. Your two shooting stars depicting two of the characters in your story stand out in just the right position and color (I think). Your star studded sky is WONDERFUL. Love the way the stars brighten the dark sky you chose for your upper background color. The 'planet' that the two individual characters are standing on takes on a sad~romantic aura, which reinstates your story and your WILL HE REMEMBER ME painting. Your full moon in its hazy glow could also be considered a very romantic moon lending even more harmony to an already harmonious painting. Last but far from least, breaking through the star burst heavens appears to be a beautiful heart with a bright light in the middle. To me this depicts the eternal love that will follow the earthly (or other planet love) that started where the two characters in your painting are standing on. I love this work of your Art. Sincerely,. digitalalltheway
this is so cute and sad, all at once you did a great job! the only thing i "don't like" is the pattern/texture ball near the horizon; i like it scattered throughout the sky like you have it, but not all gathered up.
Hmmmm... Thanks for the contructive critism. ^^ I appreciate it, and I'll try to keep that in mind in the future. Thanks again. <33 And I'm glad you like it, for the most part!
Beautiful Picture, I love it!
